Study Abroad in Cuba Cultural
Some students may not know what studying abroad is or if they can do it. Studying abroad is a student perusing educational goals in a different country. One of the countries that we offer as a study abroad destination is Cuba. With its vibrant people and Latin rhythm, there is so much to see and do in Cuba. Most people do not know that you can study abroad in Cuba for college or university credit. Global Educational Facilitation is licensed by OFAC to make travel arrangements for those individuals and groups who have a license to travel to Cuba. In order to get a license, a professor or study abroad coordinator from the college needs to write a letter on the college’s letterhead stating the purpose of the trip; it must have a course description and course number and signed by the vice president, study abroad coordinator or professor of the college. With this license you can travel to Cuba legally. You get to see the history of the city, be surrounded by her people and hospitality, maybe learn some Spanish, and go on excursions to fascinating places. Even if you do not choose to study abroad in Cuba to learn Spanish, earning college credit studying something else would also be worth it. I think that everyone in college should take some time to study abroad to earn college or university credit. Most students that study abroad say that it is well worth it and sometimes even life changing. It is a great opportunity to get out and see the world.
